First Annual Youth Arts and Media Festival, Los Angeles

This selection of photographs was created by three teens, Arlene Flores, Khaliq Farthing, and Christopher Rojas,
who will be featured in the first annual Youth Arts & Media Festival, a one-day
celebration of youth arts in Los Angeles. Affectionately called YAM, the festival
features films, photos, music, poetry, workshops, and more. Taking place
September 25, 2010, in downtown Los Angeles, the festival is the collaborative
effort of 18 community-based organizations.
The photographic portion of the festival is the result of a countywide call for
photography created by young people and was juried by Daylight editor, Michael Itkoff and
the staff of Venice Arts.
