Please join us the evening of September 26, 2007 for a presentation and discussion at the Frontline Club 13 Norfolk Place, London W2 1QJ Yannis Kontos holds a BA in Photography from the Faculty of Graphic Design and Applied Arts of Athens' Technological Educational Institute and an MA in Photographic journalism from the University of Westminister in London. He has been a freelance photojournalist since 1992 and works with the agencies SYGMA, GAMMA, and POLARIS IMAGES. Kontos work has been published extensively throughout the world and he has received 20 awards including 1st prizes in the World Press Photo Competition; Life magazine's Alfred Eisenstaedt Awards; Pictures of the year; N.P.P.A. "Best of Photojournalism"; he was twice awarded as European Press Photographer of the Year. It has a restaurant, club and lodging for its members and is also a talking-shop in the UK for ethical issues affecting news coverage.
